PALABRAS is not a love story. It is a story of heartbreak in which we not only know the beginning, but also, and above all, the end. What the characters in a film or book do not tell you when the word THE END appears on the screen.

When Emma believes she has the perfect life she has always dreamed of, Diego, the love of her life with whom she is about to get married, leaves her for another woman. He packs his bags and leaves, as if Emma's feelings were worth nothing.

Months later, still devastated and unable to see a way out of her deep sadness, Emma decides to visit Silvia, a psychologist with a very good reputation in Barcelona and with methods very different from the usual ones.

Our protagonist needs to live again and, above all, regain confidence in herself.

Silvia proposes to her a game of nine words. Each word will be part of the story between Emma and Diego. Each word will make Emma open her eyes and understand that her relationship was not the fairytale she believed, nor was Diego the perfect man she saw. Each of those nine words will be key for our protagonist to see that there is life beyond a breakup and that destiny can surprise us.

The game begins with the first word: TRÁNSITO (TRANSIT). This word will make Emma understand that her relationship with Diego was in constant movement, without roots, without stability. A transit that was taking her nowhere.

The second word is ILUSIÓN (ILLUSION). This word will make Emma see that the perfect life she thought she had with Diego was nothing more than an illusion, a dream that was far from reality.

The third word is CONFIANZA (TRUST). This word will make Emma realize that she never really trusted Diego, that she always had a nagging feeling that something was wrong, that he was not being completely honest with her.

The fourth word is LEJANÍA (DISTANCE). This word will make Emma understand that, little by little, Diego had been distancing himself from her, creating an emotional and physical gap that ultimately led to his departure.

The fifth word is ADIÓS (GOODBYE). This word will make Emma face the harsh reality of Diego's departure, the final farewell that she never saw coming.

The sixth word is LUTO (MOURNING). This word will make Emma accept that she must go through a process of mourning, of letting go of the life she thought she had, in order to move forward.

The seventh word is APRENDIZAJE (LEARNING). This word will make Emma realize that, despite the pain, this experience is an opportunity for her to learn and grow, to become a stronger and wiser person.

The eighth word is PERDÓN (FORGIVENESS). This word will make Emma understand that, in order to heal, she must forgive not only Diego, but also herself for the mistakes she may have made in the relationship.

The ninth and final word is FUTURO (FUTURE). This word will make Emma see that, beyond the pain of the past, there is a future waiting for her, full of new possibilities and opportunities for happiness.
